Holding a gun to someone's head has always been an American way to get what we want. It's not a nice way to govern, but it has a certain effectiveness.
Watching Donald Trump destroy the country using the same tactic is kind of interesting.
Now don't get me wrong - I have about as much respect for Donald Trump as I do for Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot. Even less for Trump supporters.
But I do think we need to reevaluate what America has become and what America should strive to be, i.e., a return to constitutional edicts. Perhaps a country engaged in its citizens well-being first.
What it has been for a long while now is not something I feel particularly good about. And I do believe greed, Wall Street and the 1% is largely responsible for the deep pile of $hit we're all in now.
How do we solve any of this? Let's start throwing monkey wrenches. Let's all go tax exempt and stop filing income tax returns. (Nobody home to review them anyhow.) A country divided against itself cannot survive ---- but a country starved of its cash flow will, indeed, have to reevaluate how things are going to get done, what things are going to get done, and when things are going to get done. And they will be forced to listen to those of us withholding the money.

The Government Shut Down and Trump's Amazing Ability to Paint His Ass (And He's All Ass) Into A Corner
Shutting down the government to look like a tough guy to get his wall built is just another backfiring proposition put forth by The Trump Lack of Administration.
Why doesn't this man just resign and go home? He's absolutely ineffectual at business or at politics. Is he the only one who doesn't get it? Is his ego that enormous? Is his intelligence really that limited?
Never in the history of the United States has such a feckless moron driven us to the brink of viability.

How to be Nice to Trump Supporters
I don't know why I titled this blog post as I did.
I am quite incapable of being nice to Trump Supporters.
But I find using factual evidence is sure to drive them right up their unbuilt wall.
I try to be nice to people, although it is sometimes a struggle for me. I guess I'm not a people person. I prefer the company of a good book or good friends. I will strike up conversations with complete strangers in clubs and bars, but that is not indicative of my warm and friendly personality, that is a manifestation of alcohol and good music.
Regardless, I digress.
I have a few relatives who are die hard Trump supporters, despite all the evidence to the contrary that this president is a gigantic fool, full of absolute crap.
Dealing with their ridiculous posts on Facebook is easy for me. I look for the nicest language to flat out expose them for the ignorant fools that they are. I try to make my statement impossible to contradict. I stand my ground in their outrage and just keep giving back answers that can't be argued.
I simply do not show these people any respect for they are unworthy of respect. This is the best way to get to a Trump supporter. Absolute disrespect for their views.
But do it nicely. Do it with intelligent, fact-based evidence. No name calling, please. It is, after all, quite unnecessary, given all the honest material we have to work with.
Note: I cannot help calling some Trump supporters Redneck Racists. That is not name calling. That is telling it like it is.

Donald Trump Wants To Make Nice
Donald Trump is feeling very depressed because he is so disrespected in the media (and the world). The current climate in the west wing is one of fear and loathing......and incredible stress to see what the unhinged and deeply conflicted president will do next.
I tried to call the White House today to say nice things to the president (only because I'm terrified that he has the nuclear codes), but I couldn't connect with him. So I thought I'd write this letter and tell our president nice things.
Dear President Trump:
Your kid, Baron, seems nice. He doesn't say much. Looks like he's accustomed to being ignored by you in public, but he does seem nice in his pictures. Anyhow - none of your kids have behaved like the Menendez brothers, so there's that.
You don't throw umbrellas that have difficult mechanisms. That's a little nice.
Your wife's wardrobe is EXTREMELY nice. Except when it's extraordinarily derogatory.
It was nice of you not to murder your hair plug guy.
You aren't a foodie, and it's really nice how you've managed to project that image with your portly porcine posture.
Your shoes are nicely polished.
Your Chinese made ties do an adequate job of covering your mushroom when you're sitting with your legs spread apart like a Sumo wrestler.
You have never told Nancy Pelosi to blow you in public. That is very nice and must have taken tremendous restraint on your part.
You have yet to start wearing a jewel encrusted, gold crown in the oval office, and that is very, very nice of you.
You are extremely nice to oil companies and other major polluters of our land, air and water.
Oh yeah, who can forget how nice you are to billionaires with your massive tax cuts. They think you're really quite nice.
Putin thinks you're the best and nicest rube he's ever come across, and Putin is no dummy - so there's that.
I could go on and on, but I'd rather spend my time telling you all the bazillion ways you're a total a$$hole. I'll save it for later.

A Tale of Two Jews
The Sunday New York Times carried two stories about Jewish people.
The first was regarding Selma Engel, one of the only survivors of the Sobiber Nazi Death Camp in Eastern Poland. She was one of the few who gave witness to this place of horror and death, as the Nazi's destroyed it as the allies approached. It is being painstakingly uncovered today by archaeologists. Sobiber was strictly a death camp and Engel was only saved because she, and another clothes sorter, managed to escape. Her story is one of courage and betrayal by the Dutch people of her homeland. Mrs. Engel relocated to the United States, where she died at 96 years of age. Queen Beatrix knighted her and the Dutch minister of health care issued a formal apology. Mrs. Engel was honored to receive the knighthood, but she refused to accept the apology. No apology should ever be accepted by any survivor of the horrors of the Nazi regime.
This story was on Page 26 of Section 1 of the New York Times.
On Page 1 of the Times, there is a story about Jared Kushner and his endearing (?) friendship with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman or MBS, or My Bone Saw?
Trump's son-in-law in a bromance with MBS under the pretext of forging a Middle East Peace Agreement. When you're played, you're played. Kushner is an epic failure as a statesman and as a Jew.
First of all, the Saudis begin indoctrinating hatred for Jews and the West in their children almost as soon as those toddlers can speak. There is nothing honorable about the Saudi Arabian regime, the royal family or Mohammed bin Salman. These are murderous criminals who don't eat pork because they are pigs themselves and can't afford to be seen as cannibals, as they're already seen as every other type of base human being.
The Kushner and the Trump families are totally owned by this regime because of money. All this posturing about being friends and forging peace is a smoke screen to cover how indebted the two big New York real estate families are to the Saudis.
My biggest question would have to be, why would ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT F*CKING MIND run for president with all these bones (and saws) in the closet? The answer to my own question is that Donald Trump truly believes he could flummox the entire world, based on his success ripping off contractors on his projects and stealing money from investors.
What a small and inept f*cking mind Donald Trump possesses. And in the Kushner family tradition, little Jared will be doing some jail time, just like Daddy.
These people have basically screwed the world up one side and down the other. It's time for America to stand up, take back its country and punish those who aided and abetted this public rape of democracy. The Mitch McConnells. The Paul Ryans. The Leslie Grahams. The John Kennedys. These people all need to crawl back into the disgusting holes they crawled out from. We know who they are. The question is, what are we, as a nation, going to do about them?
