Scott Walker - The Loser

As I always suspected would happen, Scott Walker's budget repair bill is now stopped dead in its tracks by the Wisconsin judicial system.

Scott Walker and his followers are screaming about the inadequacies of the judicial system, and basically doing what bullies always do when someone actually fights back ---- whining and crying like the true wimps they are.  Point is, they have figured out that even they, in their rabid  righteousness and propaganda spouting vehemence, can't commit criminal acts.

The point is, these yokels tried to pass a law that was unfair, and they did it by pulling every undemocratic trick in the book.

As thoughtful citizens of Wisconsin, we should remember how unprofessionally these so-called politicians behaved.  Please remember it.  Please vote in local elections.  Please do not stay in your house and expect someone else to stand up for your rights while you do nothing.  Please sign recall petitions for every Scott Walker supporter, as well as for Mr. Walker, himself.

Let's take back this country.  One State at a Time.  One Law at a Time.  One Crooked Politician at a Time.

Jobs

I got a letter yesterday, offering me the chance to interview for sort of a dream job (in my opinion).  I'm debating on answering it.  Truth is, I need a new car, well, not really need.  It's more that I want a new car.  I have a tendency to drive my cars to death.  Mine is hardly near death, but I'm sick of it and my niece needs a car, so I'll give her the old one.  See, it's real important for people to do nice things for people who are struggling.  This viewpoint keeps me out of the catagory of greedy bitch; something I am so determined to retain.

The trouble is, I actually have a dream job now.  I hardly ever have to go to work.  That's REAL cool.  When I do go to work, I'm never under any stress.  My job is not difficult.  Selling jewelry to women is kind of a no brainer.  Selling it to men is simple, too, depending on where they are on the guilt scale or deadline (and they always shop the same day of the big event).  Anyhow, I punch in for my 3 hour, or 5 hour shift twice a week, talk to really nice people who appreciate conversation more than they actually enjoy the shopping, and earn some nice commission.  When I punch out, I go home and never ever give the place a second thought.  This is a dream job.  Hardly there.  Not difficult.  No stress.  Earn enough money to keep me in the fun light.

But, the truth is, I did not have a good winter.  I had a miserable winter.  I was stuck in the house too much, my husband is still working almost full time, you can only paint, redecorate, read, write, etc. so much.  I dread another winter like the one just hanging on still.

And the dream job.  I'm well-read.  The job is in a library.  I've always loved libraries --- the quiet, the smell of old books, the architecture itself is so perfect and conducive to peacefulness.  I've convinced myself.  I'm going to call for the interview.

Cheap Bitches

I know a woman who is so ..... well frugal is far too polite.......who is so incredibly cheap, its embarrassing to be around her.  Especially when the check arrives.

I guess people like her have always been in abundance.  They hold on to the first dollar they ever got and they hoard their money.  What they don't get is they hoard their money into extinction, because you really can't take it with you.

Anyhow, I find this particular woman's history to be most comical.  She married for money (but the man she married didn't have any) so the joke was on her.  She spent the rest of her married life, until her spouse died (he was twenty years her senior)  being angry, bitter, and bent on never letting him have a single cent of money she earned.  You can see the hypocrisy in this, as can I.  Still, I find it most amusing that she found herself in this situation and that she spent her whole married life crying over the money her husband didn't have to give her.  I'm talking thirty years of whining and making everyone suffer because she was so blinded by the thought of money, she couldn't see the empty piss pot.

Now, this money grubbing, greedy woman never ever skimped on herself.  She had closets full of designer clothes in many different sizes, dependent on where she was in the eating disorder game.

She never offered to pay a check, and if she did offer to buy anything, like a ticket to a show for someone who truly couldn't afford it, that gift somehow never materialized.  She reminds me of a big concrete ugly bank building where inside she hides all her treasures and her only role in life is to make sure no one ever gets to share them.  This is her security.  This is her superiority.  This is how she thinks she covers up the fact that her life and herself are extraordinarily superficial and disingenuous.  Surprise!  We all see her anyhow.  And we laugh at her fiscal conservatism, as she would call it.  We call it Greedy Bitch Syndrome.  I'm sure she stops to pick up pennies on the sidewalk, and not because she thinks they might be lucky.

To people like the cheap bitch I've described above, I have only one thing to say.  You should learn to use your money like toilet paper, because in the end run, that's all it's going to be worth.  May your ass be big enough to utilize your wealth!  You certainly were a big enough ass in real life.

Erlaichda -- Spring in Wisconsin

All the robins in my neighborhood look very very eggy and pregnant.

The potholes in my neighborhood are deeper and more dangerous than I've ever seen them.

People with body mass index scores in the thirties are walking around in knee length shorts.

Everything in the stores is pink, yellow, green and flowery.  Even men's shorts.  Even wheelchairs.  Even cigarettes.  (Take a puff  of springtime!)   If it can be pasteled and floraled, its spring.

Everyone you know is sick, and has been for the past three months with one virus or another.  They keep saying they'll feel better when it warms up.  They don't actually believe it, though.  Not that they won't feel better......but that it will EVER warm up.

Kids are thinking about the great delicacy known as an Easter basket.  Makes me glad I'm not a stupid kid anymore.  I just eat freakin chocolate constantly; it's how I've managed NOT to blow my brains out all winter.  Well, I don't exactly know how to load a gun, either.

You can actually smell the dead rot and decay of all those leaves in your flower beds.  It's pungent.  It's spring!  Not exactly a rose in bloom, but not as bad as the dead raccoon you found last year under the magnolia tree.  That your dog just had to roll in.  That took nine dog baths to get rid of the stench.

Some of your smaller missing garden tools have shown up somewhat the worse for wear in the places you NOW remember leaving them.

Dismal snow and short gray days have given way to dismal rain and a tad bit longer days.

There is birdsong at 5:00 a.m., reminding you of how you couldn't wait for the noisy little bastard cuckoo suckers to fly south last August when you were suffering your birthday hangover.

There is no snow to shovel and the grass is still relatively frozen to the earth, except for the yellow round spots that your dog has so accommodatingly fertilized for you.  To death.

The trees still look dead and you're always just a little concerned when walking the dog when a loud crack is heard.  My city doesn't have money to take care of trees, so they just die off, limb by limb.  Like a diabetic.  Death by installment plan.

The stupid television shows start to go to reruns, which is fine, because you didn't watch them the first time due to their stupidity.

You replace your snow shovel with a rake, your ice scraper with a fly swatter and your constant bitching about being cold with constant bitching about how hot it is.

Please send me money so I can move to Hawaii.  The four seasons just aren't working for me anymore.

Sniff Sniff --- The Stench of Republican Desperation is in the Air!

Oil Can Scotty, in a desperate attempt to retain credibility with a handful of rich people who wouldn't know credible from edible, has again attempted an end run to make his union busting law, well, lawful.

NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, OIL CAN!

Scott Walker knows he hasn't got a brain in his bald little head, but he does depend on people more blessed in the intelligence department to find methods to allow him to get his way.  Whether or not those methods are legal doesn't hold any weight with Scott Walker.  He is, afterall, King Walker Scotty God.

Lesson One to Republicans.  Don't circumvent the Justice System.

Lesson Two to Republicans.  Why is it so important to publish Oil Can Scotty's ridiculous budget repair bill right now?  Did someone promise Scott Walker something to get this accomplished in a certain amount of time?  What's the prize?

Lesson Three to Republicans.  Oil Can Scotty is the Governor.  He is not the Supreme Dictator.  The laws actually do apply to the governor too.  If they didn't, we'd have seen Scott Walker outside the Capitol by now, shooting at protesters.

The lengths to which Scott Walker is going to pass this absolutely unfair, undemocratic legislation, is suspect at best, and criminal, probably.  Let's scrutinize Scott Walker and his connections to the ultra-wealthy.  I know it's boring - the man is so without color and animation, it's hard not to fall asleep.  Maybe that's what he's counting on.  Nevertheless, let's put Scott Walker under the microscope of a thorough investigation.  There is more than ideology going on here.  But what?

David Prosser ---- SO WRONG

Reprinted, in part, from:

downwithtyranny.blogspot.com/2011/03/wisconsin-supreme-court-justice-dave.html

Here's an interesting tidbit from the past.

...."David Prosser, as District Attorney for Outagamie County, conspired with high church officials to cover up for John Feeney, a predatory priest who was raping young boys.  Prosser was never charged or prosecuted and, in fact, the Republican Party made sure he was rising through their hierarchy until he wound up on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.  Prosser still defends his actions....."

Pretty Scary.  The guy hates women for having abortions, or even for using contraceptives, or even for disagreeing with him (YO - HE MEANS YOU BITCH!  GET YOUR ASS BACK TO THE MATERNITY WARD)  Yet he vehemently defends a priest who rapes children and his own actions in having the priest moved to another parish, where more rapes occurred.  Interesting.  Sounds like devil worship to me.  But then, you all know how I feel about the debacle that is the catholic church.  And now, the debacle that is David Prosser.

I recently got a glossy vote-for-me flyer from David Prosser.  It glaringly revealed all of his prejudices against women and children.  I was so outraged by it, I immediately set it on fire.  Under my voodoo doll.  In all honesty, I hope the other good citizens of this state who received the flyer were equally outraged at Mr. Prosser's "qualifications" to retain his seat on the Supreme Court.  Better polish off your resume, Mr. Prosser.  You're going to be the the bitch in this election.

Please go to Down with Tyranny and read the complete blog.  Or just trust me when I tell you, David Prosser is about as fit to be a Supreme Court Justice as Scott Walker is to be a Governor.  But I guess some of you are just determined to see Wisconsin keep spiraling downwards.  Money seems to cause insanity.  Maybe we can do Chapter 51 commitments on the top wage earners in the State.  Afterall, look at billionaire Samuel Curtis Johnson, and his current criminal charges.  Are you people all nuts?  Sure seems like it.  But, more important, where do the Scott Walkers and the David Prossers of the world get it in their vacuum like heads that sexually abusing a child is okay?  Because THAT SEEMS TO BE WHAT THEY BELIEVE

I have just one question.  Does Scott Walker have to wipe his bald spot several times a day because of the $hit leaking out of his brains?

Paula Lucey Named Behavior Health Director

It is rare for Milwaukee County to approach a person retired from county service and persuade that person to come out of retirement and work for the county again.  But in the case of Paula Lucey being named as the Director of Behavioral Health, I have to applaud the foresight and wisdom of that choice.  I guess it doesn't really matter who made the decision to offer the job to Ms. Lucey, it is just so fortuitous that someone did and she accepted.

Ms. Lucey was probably one of the best administrators Milwaukee County ever employed when she ran the Department of Human Services.  She is reasonable, no-nonsense and intelligent.  Those qualities were never appreciated much by Milwaukee County's bureaucracy, but since the exit of Scott Walker, there seems to be a reversal of brain trust, and those qualities are once more revered.  Poor Madison.  The $hit seems to have moved west.

Anyhow, I don't expect I'll have to report on any top level mismanagement, rapes of the developmentally disabled resulting in pregnancies, or other such criminal acts as happened during Scott Walker and John Chianelli's debacle leadership of that institution.  Not that Ms. Lucey won't be faced with challenges, since current thought is that its the mentally ill's fault that they are compromised, and why should we (republicans) pay for treatment.

I caution Ms. Lucey, however, to know who she is dealing with.  It's a real fine line out there between some staff and the sickest patients.  But she's a smarty pants!  Hurray for her.

Is There Anything Sacred to Scott Walker?

Oil Can Scotty has weakened the state's recycling program in his current budget.  This is a very stupid idea.  Even the rabid right can certainly see the importance of preserving the environment for future generations.  Well, one would think so.

I live in Milwaukee.  No one has been around to pick up my recycling in almost six weeks.  My alley is starting to show the effects.  There are bags of cans, plastic, glass and newspaper starting to pile up.  I can only assume that the houses where this is not the case have begun to co-mingle recyclables with the rest of the trash.  That's unfortunate and very bad for the environment.

At any rate, I sent a letter to the Department of Sanitation complaining about the situation, and just a few days ago, received a notice of the new recycling pick-up schedule.  It's only going to happen once every three weeks, but it will happen.  Thank you, Mayor Tom Barrett, for addressing this important issue, and finding a solution that is probably going to be very costly to Milwaukeeans, but the cost to the environment would be far greater.  Tom Barrett has vision.  Scott Walker has a garbage dump for a brain.

I hereby suggest that if the recyclables are building up in your neighborhood, you cart them over to Maple Grove and deposit them on Scott Walker's lawn.  When that place fills up, let's use the capitol grounds.  I know it's extreme, but this is an extremely important issue and should be addressed.  Tea Baggers and the Rabid Right keep taking us backward.  It's time for extreme measures to insure we keep moving forward.

The Real Results of the Election of Scott Walker

I don't believe anyone in Wisconsin expected the gubernatorial election to wind up with Wisconsin in a state of chaos, and actions by Scott Walker already in court for questionable legality.

I don't believe anyone in Wisconsin expected that Wisconsin would be a proving ground for tea party politics and rabid right rhetoric becoming dictatorial law.

I don't believe anyone in Wisconsin is happy about the state of the state right now, including job losses.  It does seem apparent that a savvy business would not dare to come to Wisconsin to set up shop because of the political climate, brought to you by the State's chief executive.

Scott Walker is a master of creating a political circus.  But he's no governor.

I am so very sorry that an intelligent person like Tom Barrett failed to convince the voting public that he was the right choice for governor.  Because he was.  Which tells me the voting public here in Wisconsin has lost all semblance of reasonableness and sanity.  It's time for me to move on down the line.  Mexico makes more sense than Wisconsin these days.

Is Scott Walker a Misogynist?

In Walker's budget plan, women seem to be the biggest losers.

Of course, he believes that access to contraception leads to abortions.  (Huh?  I know, I know.  But this is what right-to-lifers believe and why they continually attack Planned Parenthood.)

Stripping collective bargaining rights from teachers, nurses, and clerical workers, traditionally women-filled professions, further attacks the gender.

Walker, and Walker supporters, seem to hate women.  I would say that is a fair and honest assessment based on the politics du jour.

If you look at Walker's history, he married a woman eleven years his senior.  Walker didn't want a wife, he wanted to perpetuate the mommy relationship.  This man is pathologically obsessed with never dealing on an even field with the female of the species.  Since Alberta Darling could not physically grow a penis, she had to plot against the working class and vote like she had one.  So for her and her ridiculous selling out behavior, let's all chip in and buy Alberta Darling a sex change operation complete with a teeny tiny wienie.  She so obviously wants to become half a man, like Walker.

I hope all of the young college aged women, working women, and single mothers, pay close attention to Walker and people who support him.  Because they are anti-you.  Take back your country and let me hear your voice!  Vote in the next election!  And promise never to be apathetic about what goes on around you, no matter how hard school is, what finals are coming, how you'll pay the rent or how you'll care for your sick child and go to work at the same time.  Pay attention and take action.  It's the best way to protect yourself from people who would see you permanently restrained.  Scott Walker wants to tie you up.  That's pretty kinky and also sado-masochistic!  Fight back.

Oil Can Scotty Loses Second Round

Reprinted, in part, from The Milwaukee Journal

.....Dane County Circuit Judge Maryann Sumi issued a temporary restraining order Friday, halting Gov. Scott Walker's law that would sharply curtail collective bargaining for public employees.

State officials said immediately they would appeal the judge's decision but GOP lawmakers declined to comment on whether they might also try the separate tactic of passing the bill through the Legislature again.

Sumi's order will prevent Secretary of State Doug La Follette from publishing the law - and allowing it to take effect - until she can rule on the merits of the case.  Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne, a Democrat, is seeking to block the law because he says a legislative committee violated the state's open meetings law in passing the measure, which Walker signed on Friday.

Sumi, who was appointed to the bench by Former GOP Gov. Tommy G. Thompson, said Ozanne was likely to succeed on the merits......

Well then.  I guess we were successful in sending a message to Oil Can Scotty and the rest of the Republican thugs that just because they are in power, they can't commit a crime and get away with it.  At least, that's what I hope the message conveys to them.  These people are desperate to take America back to the 1800's, and it doesn't seem like much of anything deters them, least of all the law.  Well, it's 2011 and we're determined to keep moving forward.  Stand strong.  Stand up for the constitution.  Stand against corruption in politics.  And most importantly, stand against Walker and the rest of the gangsters who would corporatize this country to death.

The Upside of Oil Can Scotty

One positive note in all of the idiocy taking over the State of Wisconsin and created by Governor Scott Walker is that the democrats, liberals and youth will be out in force in the next elections.

This can only bode well for all of us wishing to send these financial predators back to the underside of the rocks from which they crawled out.

Thanks Scott Walker - for giving us ample reason to take back the country and return it to democracy.  Without morons like you, we wouldn't stand a chance.

St. Patrick's Day

Got a love a saint who drives the snakes out.  Wish we could get a modern day version to drive the republican and tea party snakes back to the decaying holes they crawled out of.

Anyhow --- forget about the problems here in Wisconsin today.  Go out and have a cocktail and put on a happy Irish smile.  Eat a potato.  Eat some cabbage.  Eat some corned beef.  I won't advise you to drink green beer, it looks truly awful, and with the republicans in charge long enough, you'll be drinking water the exact same color soon enough.

Tomorrow, there will be a court hearing in Madison addressing Oil Can Scotty's underhanded maneuvers to get his budget repair bill signed, which should really be called the let's screw everyone and gratify the rich bill.  Seriously, I don't think Oil Can Scotty is having regular sex these days.   But its the irregular sex that he's having that  frightens me.

Bitches Award Day --- or --- Alberta's Not So Darling Anymore

Since this is my blog, and basically, I can say anything I want, I've decided to give awards to the people whose behaviors I find most heinous.  I will call this the "On the Grill" award.  This should evoke an image of the bitches taking over a big bus,  running it into a person who champions stupidity, and leaving them flattened and bloody at the Illinois border.  Call it a 21st Century approach to being run out of town on a rail.

1st Ever Recipient.
Alberta Darling
It is probably morally reprehensible to pick on someone with a shrunken brain (don't believe me, look at her face, it's collapsing from the dead space inside her head), but I pick Ms. Not So Darling despite that fact.  Ms. Darling needs to get out of politics and find something meaningful to do that she can actually do.  Like personal shopper to the tasteless, or pet grooming.  I'd bet she'd be great at expressing anal glands.  She's expressed hers with every vote.  At any rate, her place in politics denigrates politics.  Her place in Wisconsin should be over.  Let Ms. Not So Darling be the first senator to get her rigid butt kicked the hell out of the legislature.  Number One Objective.  Number One Splat brought to you by Bitches On a Bus.

Scott Walker Backers As Much Of A Joke As He is

The very most amusing thing about Scott Walker and his backers is that they think Oil Can Scotty is on their side.  If it weren't so symbolic of the mass ignorance suffered by these people, it would be comical.

The only side Oil Can Scotty is on is that of the ultra-wealthy.  You people making $200,000 and less, the joke is on your stupid arse.  Oil Can Scotty seems to be cementing his millionaire future by aligning himself with the greed obsessed 1%.  I'm sure they'll offer him a job in one of their ultra-right-wing "UNTHINK" tanks once he's recalled.  I've said it once and I'll say it again, there are no creative thoughts bouncing around in the vacuum that is Oil Can Scotty's head.  Just dead space.  He is possibly the only human being alive walking around after being declared legally brain dead.

Anyhow, you people out there who voted this clown into office, you'd better start watching your pennies.  You were duped.  You were used.  You will ALSO have to pay.  And that you don't understand that speaks volumes about your lack of intelligence and your unwillingness to educate yourselves.

Everybody loves a fool.  Come to Wisconsin.  There's ten fools per cow.

Erlaichda -- Spring is in the Air

With all the political chaos, bad weather, ignorant republican rhetoric and natural disasters happening, it is easy to fall into a permanent blue funk.....and I'm there.

So, I decided to write, today, about nicer things, happier things, moments of joy rather than despair.

The sun is shining and its forty degrees outside.  That may not seem like much, but it is everything to me today.  It might not be officially spring, but the sounds and sights of that wonderful season are close.

My husband and I go to Chicago every year, not to celebrate Easter, because we are not Christians, but to celebrate the pure joy of going to a large, functional city.  Milwaukee seems to be evolving into the next Detroit, an urban wasteland of broken lives.  But I digress.  This is going to be a happy blog.

At any rate, we stay at a five star hotel, we eat in amazing restaurants, we shop for large quantities of Belgian chocolate and we buy little things for each other.  We generally go to the theatre and, in short, pamper the hell out of ourselves.

I urge all Wisconsinites to take a moment and forget, just for a moment, the Oil Can Scottys of the world, the tragedies of earthquakes and tsunamis, the horror of the ultra-rich and their ulta-ugly presence in an increasingly psychotic world that create:  the oil billionaires destroying the environment, the fast food billionaries destroying our health, the pharmaceutical billionaires killing us with drugs, the retail billionaires abusing human rights.

Just feel the sun.  And smell the air.  The winds of change are starting to blow.

Forget about your bad relationships, your unhappy families, your disengaged children.  Forget about all of it.  Let someone else do the worrying for a change .... maybe the cosmic force that constantly flows can take over for awhile and give you a break.

The end of the bleakest winter in my memory is close at hand, and I will not imprison myself by living in the remembrance of its relative proximity to my now.  Today, I will live now.  I will be happy for the sun.  I won't fret about the mud the dog tracks in.  I won't feel annoyed by all the cat hair I just vacuumed.  I will rejoice in the love my pets have for me.  If only people could love as unconditionally as animals do.  If only people could stop obsessing over every detail of the mundane.

If I was a super-hero, and my super-power was to give you exactly what you need, do you honestly think you could tell me what you'd find in your cupboard?  Ponder that.  Spring is coming.  The winter of our discontent is almost over.  What would make your life perfect?

Simple Things We Can Do To Win the Class War Waged by Republicans

First and foremost, all of the turmoil happening in Wisconsin has less to do with stripping public workers of their rights, and more to do with the class war being perpetrated against the middle class by the ultra wealthy.

There are SIMPLE things we can do to fight back, and I hope some of you out there will have the courage to take it upon yourself to boycott certain organizations and the products and/or services they sell.

Number 1.  Do Not Shop At Walmart.  This should be a no-brainer.  But if you need further motivation, try to remember that Walmart employs more child labor in the world than any other organization.  That is the high price of low cost.  I understand that some people don't have a choice but to shop at Walmart, since Walmart moves into rural areas, thereby causing the collapse of small businesses, and making them the only game in town.  Think Smart.  Plan Smart.  Shop Smart.  Drive the extra 25 miles to get to a retailer not engaged in human rights abuses and whose owners are not on the Forbes list of richest American billionaires.  Every dime in their bank accounts has the sweat of a child on it.

Number 2.  Don't take a Carnival Cruise.  There are other cruise lines.  Boycott Carnival Cruises and its billionaire owner.  Why anyone would pay $2000 for a sardine packed ride on a bacteria infested boat is beyond me, but there it is.  Find better ways to spend your vacation dollar.

Number 3.  Don't Watch Fox News and Boycott Advertisers Who Buy Air Time on Fox News.  Anyone who has ever tuned into Rupert Murdoch's ultra right wing television network knows how biased everything stated on the network is.  For people who are biased and singularly blind to the world around you, this is the place for you.  For others, watch the commercials and boycott the products.

Number 4.  Know the Wealthy Families in Your Community and Boycott Their Businesses.   If you need a list of the wealthiest families in Wisconsin, I am happy to provide it to you, along with the businesses and services from which they earn their millions.  Meanwhile, support small, independent businesses, like non-chain movie theatres, restaurants, banks, financial services companies, hotels, etc.

The middle class has been asleep for far too long.  They have been handed enormous credit lines, which has kept them in a perpetual state of indebtedness, and the hopelessness and helplessness that goes along with it.  Wake Up.  Do Your Research.  Cut Up Your Credit Cards and Start Kicking A$$.

Recall of Republican Legislators in Wisconsin

I urge every thoughtful citizen of the State of Wisconsin to get involved in recall efforts for the republican legislators who voted with Scott Walker in stripping public employees of their right to collectively bargain.

We need to send a message to senators and assemblymen who have prostituted themselves to the ultra-wealthy, and that message is we don't need any more corruption in government at the expense of the people who can least afford it.

If you need any help in determining what you can do in your district, please contact me via e-mail and I will assist you with information.

Meanwhile, if recall efforts are unsuccessful for these parasitic whores, we need to adjust our vision to encompass the mass corruption these legislators have perpetrated, and perhaps take the law into our own hands.  It, obviously, is not well-placed in theirs.

Facism Anyone?

Several years ago, I read an article by Laurence W. Britt.  It bears repeating here, in part.  For the full article, go to www.secularhumanism.org/library/fi/britt_23_2.htm.

Signs of Fascism:

1.  Powerful and continuing expressions of nationalism.  From the prominent displays of flags and bunting to the ubiquitous lapel pins, the fervor to show patriotic nationalism, both on the part of the regime itself and of citizens caught up in its frenzy, was always obvious.  Catchy slogans, pride in the military and demands for unity were common themes in expressing this nationalism.  It was usually coupled with a suspicion of things foreign that often bordered on xenophobia.

2.  Disdain for the importance of human rights.  The regimes themselves viewed human rights as of little value and a hindrance to realizing the objectives of the ruling elite.  Through clever use of propaganda, the population was brought to accept these human rights abuses by marginalizing, even demonizing, those being targeted.  When abuse was egregious, the tactic was to use secrecy, denial, and disinformation.

3.  Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause.  The most significant common thread among these regimes was the use of scapegoating as a means to divert the people's attention from other problems, to shift blame for failures, and to channel frustration in controlled directions.  The methods of choice, relentless propaganda and disinformation, were usually effective.  Often the regimes would incite "spontaneous" acts against the target scapegoats, usually communists, socialists, liberals, Jews, ethnic and racial minorities, traditional national enemies, members of other religions, secularists, homosexuals, and "terrorists".  Active opponents of these regimes were inevitably labeled as terrorists and dealt with accordingly.

4.  The supremacy of the military/avid militarism.  Ruling elites always identified closely with the military and the industrial infrastructure that supported it.  A disproportionate share of national resources was allocated to the military, even when domestic needs were acute.  The military was seen as an expression of nationalism, and was used whenever possible to assert national goals, intimidate other nations, and increase the power and prestige of the ruling elite.

5.  Rampant sexism.  Beyond the simple fact that the political elite and the national culture were male-dominated, these regimes inevitably viewed women as second-class citizens.  They were adamantly anti-abortion and also homophobic.  These attitudes were usually codified in Draconian laws that enjoyed strong support by the orthodox religion of the country, thus lending the regime cover for its abuses.

6.  A controlled mass media.  Under some of the regimes, the mass media were under strict direct control and could be relied upon never to stray from the party line.  Other regimes exercised more subtle power to ensure media orthodoxy.  Methods included the control of licensing and access to resources, economic pressure, appeals to patriotism and implied threats.  The leaders of the mass media were often politically compatible with the power elite.  The result was usually successful in keeping the general public unaware of the regimes' excesses.

7.  Obsession with national security.  Inevitably, a national security apparatus was under direct control of the ruling elite.  It was usually an instrument of oppression, operating in secret and beyond any constraints.  Its actions were justified under the rubric of protecting "national security", and questioning its activities was portrayed as unpatriotic of even treasonous.

8.  Religion and ruling elite tied together.  Unlike communist regimes, the fascist and protofascist regimes were never proclaimed as godless by their opponents.  In fact, most of the regimes attached themselves to the predominant religion of the country and chose to portray themselves as militant defenders of that religion.  The fact that the ruling elite's behavior was incompatible with the precepts of the religion was generally swept under the rug.  Propaganda kept up the illusion that the ruling elites were defenders of the faith and opponents of the "godless".  A perception was manufactured that opposing the power elite was tantamount to an attack on religion.

9.  Power of corporations protected.  Although the personal life of ordinary citizens was under strict control, the ability of large corporations to operate in relative freedom was not compromised.  The ruling elite saw the corporate structure as a way to not only ensure military production (in developed states), but also as an additional means of social control.  Members of the economic elite were often pampered by the political elite to ensure a continued mutuality of interests, especially in the repression of 'have-not" citizens.

10.  Power of labor suppressed or eliminated.  Since organized labor was seen as the one power center that could challenge the political hegemony of the ruling elite and its corporate allies, it was inevitably crushed or made powerless.  The poor formed an underclass, viewed with suspicion or outright contempt.  Under some regimes, being poor was considered akin to a vice.

11.  Disdain and suppression of intellectuals and the arts.  Intellectuals and the inherent freedom of ideas and expression associated with them were anathema to these regimes.  Intellectual and academic freedom were considered subversive to national security and the patriotic ideal.  Universities were tightly controlled; politically unreliable faculty harassed or eliminated.  Unorthodox ideas or expressions of dissent were strongly attacked, silenced or crushed.  To these regimes, art and literature should serve the national interest or they had no right to exist.

12.  Obsession with crime and punishment.  Most of these regimes maintained Draconian systems of criminal justice with huge prison populations.  The police were often glorified and had almost unchecked power, leading to rampant abuse.  "Normal" and political crime were often merged into trumped-up criminal charges and sometimes used against political opponents of the regime.  Fear and hatred, of criminals or "traitors" was often promoted among the population as an excuse for more police power.

13.  Rampant cronyism and corruption.  Those in business circles and close to the power elite often used their position to enrich themselves.  This corruption worked both ways; the power elite would receive financial gifts and property from the economic elite, who in turn would gain the benefit of government favoritism.  Members of the power elite were in a position to obtain vast wealth from other sources as well:  for example, by stealing national resources.  With the national security apparatus under control and the media muzzled, this corruption was largely unconstrained and not well understood by the general population.

14.  Fraudulent elections.  Elections in the form of plebiscites or public opinion polls were usually bogus.  When actual elections with candidates were held, they would usually be perverted by the power elite to get the desired result.  Common methods included maintaining control of the election machinery, intimidating and disenfranchising opposition voters, destroying or disallowing legal votes, and, as a last resort, turning to a judiciary beholden to the power elite.

Does any of this ring alarm bells?  Of course not.  After all, this is America, officially a democracy with the rule of law, a constitution, a free press, honest elections, and a well-informed public constantly being put on guard against evils.  Historical comparisons like these are just exercises in verbal gymnastics.  Maybe, maybe not.

The Forbes War

I've never been so disgusted to live in America as I am right now.  We have political hacks like Oil Can Scotty trampling over democracy to promote an agenda that only benefits the top 1% of people in this nation who are rich.  Hopefully, we can stop this man legally from doing any further damage, and we can reverse the damage he's already done.  Almost every move Oil Can Scotty makes ends up being reversed by the courts because he has no motivation or challenge to promote his agenda legally ---- it is always moved in underhanded, dirty politics methodology.

And where is Obama in this mess?  Why is the president missing in action while this horrendous assault on democracy is taking place in the heartland?  I'm disgusted with Obama and his "safe" political approach.  Yes We Can?  Change?  Hey Obama, NO WE CAN'T (fight the rich) AND THE CHANGE IS TO BENEFIT THE TOP 1% OF THE ULTRA-WEALTHY.  Get off your presidential ass and get involved.  You are MIA in this fight.  You are too busy trying to walk the political tight-rope of your own re-election.  Americans won't forget that.

This morning, a major earthquake struck off the coast of Japan, spawning a tsunami that devastated the Asian nation and is rapidly moving toward Hawaii and the western coastal states.  Same thing happened in the heartland --- the earthquake was Oil Can's Scotty hidden agenda, and the tsunami is drowning the working class.

Republicans are receiving death threats.  And still, they continue to abuse their powers.  Recall every republican in the State of Wisconsin.  Recall them and let them go work for the conservative think tanks that fund them.  I've had it.  The working class has had it.  What happens next is any one's guess, but I think it will be massively ugly.  Not unlike the souls of the Wisconsin republicans.

Question for the Greedy

You stole all the money, then got the government to bail you out.  None of you went to jail for the fraud you perpetrated.

You don't pay your fair share of taxes.

You've stolen millions of United States jobs by moving your operations overseas.

Just a question - what would you do to the working class if the tables were turned, if we stole all your money, if we refused to pay taxes, if we refused to do the jobs you hire us to do.

Stay tuned.  Find out.

The Lying, Cheating, End-Running Oil Can Scotty

I don't believe what the republicans did was legal and I do believe the actions that happened today in Madison with Governor Oil Can Scotty pimping his way to a perceived "victory" on his budget repair bill will be challenged.

Meanwhile, I lament, no, I weep, at the idiocy taking over this country and I am embarrassed beyond belief that it happened in Wisconsin.

This man and this movement must be stopped.  Pure and simple.  Whatever the cost.

I am seeing that we are in a class war, the majority of the United States Population versus the 500 richest people in America.  The Forbes War.  Unfortunately, war is ugly.  But what is uglier is the collective face of these greedy bastards.

Karl Marx was right.  Capitalism has the seed of its own destruction inherently built in, and that is greed.   The richest people in this country have been consumed by greed.  Now, let them be destroyed by it.

The Scorpion and the Frog - The Continuing Saga of Oil Can Scotty

Just a few words of caution to the Wisconsin 14, avoiding tyrannical legislation by removing themselves from a vote:

1.  Leopards don't change their spots.  Don't come back to Wisconsin without a firm legal commitment from Scott Walker (Oil Can Scotty) that his Budget Repair Bill will undergo rational change.

2.  Oil Can Scotty is reptilian, from his dead cold, barely blinking eyes to his scaly bald spot.  Be careful and proceed with caution.  The man is more than capable of deadly double cross.  In fact, it is that at which he excels.  Being a killer is his nature.

3.  Oil Can Scotty, just like Oil Can Harry, is more than capable of tying women, children, teachers and democrats to railroad tracks.

4.  The citizens of Wisconsin are behind you 100%.  It is no manipulation of statistics that show Oil Can Scotty to be suffering disapproval at all polls.  Stand firm, stand strong, stand with us.

Cutting Tax Dollars to Planned Parenthood

Why in the world is preventing unwanted pregnancies seen as a threat?

To me, preventing an unwanted pregnancy, via access to family planning information and contraceptives, would be an intelligent answer to avoiding the extremely difficult decision to have an abortion.

I am a pro-choice person, who believes completely that a woman has absolute right over what happens to her body.  I, also, don't believe that abortion should be the first line of defense in an unwanted pregnancy, and I am distressed that so many women, and men for that matter, do not take responsibility for using proper contraception to prevent pregnancy.

The Right to Life advocates don't take into account the fact that unwanted pregnancies resulting in unwanted children damages the lives of the very children they claim so vehemently they want to protect.

The assault on Planned Parenthood is not an intelligent approach.  The Right to Life folks are only interested in the fetus.  Once the baby is born, they, like radical right politicians, turn their back.  They don't kiss babies, they kick them in their tiny butts by withholding any support to the baby and the mother.  I simply do not understand this.  Prevention of the pregnancy in the first place avoids all kinds of future trauma for both mother and baby.  Planned Parenthood's goal is not to perform abortions, their goal is to educate people in family planning and provide the means to help them make the right choices for their lives.

When we cut tax dollars to an agency such as Planned Parenthood, that action ultimately increases the burden on taxpayers.  I have no idea what an abortion costs, but I do know the cost of children raised in poverty and/or raised by mothers completely unprepared to care financially or emotionally for a child, and it is astronomical.  This is not a difficult concept to grasp.  Stop the assault on Planned Parenthood.  If you are against abortion, don't have one.  Simple.  But please, take your smug attitude that you know best for everyone else, and shove it up your pompous a$$. Or, as an alternative, please adopt these children and care for them yourselves.

I, for one, am sick of every righteous person in America, every opinionated person in America, telling ME what to believe, what to support, what is wrong, what is right.  Instead of cramming your views down my throat, cram them up your royal arses.  I'll make my own decisions and I will have the temerity and grace to let others make theirs.  In other words, back the F off with your constant righteousness, your rules, your judgments, your lack of compassion and your total inability to open your eyes and see what is happening.  How did so many people in America get so freakin' mentally ill.  Someone better check the water supply.

The Befuddled Governor Walker

I guess all I can do is report current insanities Governor Walker promotes.  Let's look at two of the latest moronic "fixes" for Wisconsin's budget.

Number 1.  Reduce a tax credit program for many of the working poor by $41.3 million over two years.

Of course, this violates his pledge not to raise taxes.  Coming alongside a budget that would roll back taxes on corporations and give new tax breaks on capital gains, this is just another example of the class war Emperor Walker is engaging in.  Bullies like Walker always go after the most vulnerable members of society, the poor, the mentally ill, anyone downtrodden.

Simply put, Walker's budget is about priorities, and the governor has prioritized tax relief for multi state corporations and the wealthy, while cutting programs that help a broad range of Wisconsinites, particularly, the working poor.

Obviously, there is no point in looking elsewhere for tax relief when the working poor can be offered up as fiscal sacrificial lambs.

Do mirrors crack and shatter when Walker looks in them?  The ugliness of this man's actions are characterized in his face, particularly, in his lying mouth and vacant eyes.  He seems to be a blood sucking vampire, only satiated by the taste of poor in his mouth.

Certainly the most wealthy families of Wisconsin hate the poor, but I don't think it has anything to do with tax breaks.  These people actually believe that the poor are poor because they are lazy, stupid, irresponsible and dependent on government handouts.  However, close examination reveals that the rich are the lazy, stupid, irresponsible ones and are deeply entrenched in receiving government handouts.  It's like I've always said, when you hate something rabidly enough, you become it.  Does this mean ultimately the wealthy will become poor?  They are poor already.  Poor in spirit.  Poor in intelligence.  Poor in compassion.  Empty souls with large bank accounts.

Number 2.  A tax credit to people buying prefab homes.  Wausau Homes in Rothschild, Wisconsin is the latest recipient of a Walker handout.  This tax credit exempts certain prefabricated homes made in Wisconsin from the sales tax if they are to be shipped to and located in another state.  Why this tax credit?  The co-owners and the co-founder's wife of Wausau Homes donated a total of $25,000 to Walker's campaign fund.

Let me caution anyone seriously considering the purchase of a Wausau Home.  I have friends who own one, not far from the manufacturing facility.  They have spent upwards of $60,000 this year having roof trusses and most of the structural components of the house replaced.  Prefabricated homes cannot stand the test of time, especially in northern climates.  Prefabricated homes are, in short, structurally defective.  Whatever tax break you might get for buying one and shipping it to Kentucky, will cost you ten times as much in repairs down the road.  Planned shoddiness.  It's how the rich get richer.

Boycott Wausau Homes and the greedy pig owners.  Let's get after these rich corporations and their owners and hit them hard.

Walker hands out tax breaks to all of his major contributors.  No big news there. But that these handouts are so transparent is disheartening, and that we experience outrage over it, but nothing changes, is the real story here.  We have to organize, we have to polarize and we have to neutralize these aberrations perpetuated against us.

That the governor can get up in the morning and look himself in the mirror is beyond belief to any thoughtful person.  And he lives in a mansion that we pay for, while we struggle to pay taxes on our little city homes.  I'm sick of the large pig on my back.

This nation seems to have slipped so far into chaos and discord that it seems to be hopeless for the common man to have any kind of dream, American or otherwise.  We need some hope.  We need some intelligence.  We need some light at the end of this tunnel of blackness the tea baggers have put us in.  We need Wisconsin back.  Let's figure out a way to take it.

Thank You Michael Moore

Perhaps I'm just very partial to the truth and the exposure of lies, but I believe that no filmmaker, perhaps no person alive, has done more than Michael Moore has done to tell the true story of America.  From his masterpiece "Bowling for Columbine", which told the story of the violent nature of our nation, to "Sicko", which accurately portrayed the travesty perpetuated on our nation by the legal organized crime of the insurance industry, the man pursues justice and truth the same way Scott Walker pursues idiocy and violence against the working class.

Thank you, Michael Moore, for coming to Madison.  Thank you for understanding that what is happening in Wisconsin is the blueprint for what will happen in this country if we continue to let the insanity that has taken over the Republican party go unchecked and untreated.

We have become a nation ripe for revolution, and we're long overdue for one.  Perhaps we can draw from Ghandi's peaceful resistance.  If all the great thinkers in the country got together, I'm sure we can plan a resistance that will actually allow us to attack the rich and powerful and hit them where it will hurt the most, in their bank accounts.  It is time for good Americans, honest Americans, Americans appalled at America in its current state to resist the current America and strive for a new nation.  I welcome any thoughts or ideas on organizing meaningful civil disobedience.

Yes, I'm an agitator, but its because the status quo has beaten me right into a corner.  I will fight back.  Will you?

Scott Walker's Mathematical Inability

Yesterday, we heard on the news that the peaceful protesters in Madison had caused $7 million in damage at the State Capitol in Madison by placing taped signs on the marble.

Seven Million Dollars!  As in $7,000,000.

The last year I worked at Milwaukee County, and while Mr. Walker was the County Executive, he came up with a figure around $14,000,000 as a deficit, and proceeded to privatize the security group at the Courthouse to save money.  Please read my earlier blog about what that will actually cost Milwaukee taxpayers.

But, I digress.  I bring this up because once the security team was gone, the budget office released figures showing that there was no deficit at all, or at least, a very small one.

Mr. Walker's math, er, excuse me, arithmetic, is suspect.  He makes up numbers, throws them out to the media, and they are not based in truth.  Great.  Just what the American public needs, another lying, full of $hit politician who can't add.

I used to tape up my children's pictures on the walls in my home.  Dang.  I could have filed a $7,000,000 claim with my home owner's insurance, but I never did.

Sonofabitch!

Walker.

The Rabid Right

With all the pro-Scott Walker advertisements on television these days, it can't be too much of a stretch that citizens of Wisconsin, even those who voted for him, begin to understand that there is big money behind Scott Walker.  REALLY BIG MONEY.  Those ads don't come cheap.

However, the thought behind those ads are not about the citizens of Wisconsin and what they voted for; they are about the top 2% of our nation who are ultra wealthy and whom actually are running the show in order to grow even more rich.  Greed is like leprosy.  It keeps spreading until it completely consumes.

Interestingly, I watched Marie Antoinnette this morning with Kirsten Dunst in the lead role.  She and her King Louie had no clue that their deaths were imminent because of their oppression of the French people.  America's wealthy seem to be as much in denial as the cake eating royals from the 18th century.  I wouldn't count on swaying the people with your less and less intelligent and easier to spot the lies pro-Walker ads.   I wouldn't count on anything, except the fact Americans won't stand for this much longer.  And as we have less and less to lose, we will stand together against you.

I urge people in any community to stop supporting ultra wealthy families who are very much behind all of the current political troubles.  Do your research.  Know your enemy.  Understand who owns what.  Stop supporting their businesses.  I know exactly which businesses I won't patronize anymore.  Do you?

Scott Walker - The Walking Disaster

When Scott Walker was Milwaukee County Executive, he outsourced the security force at the courthouse.  Twenty-one of twenty-seven guards laid off a year ago, in an abortive privatization move, are now back on the job.

Twenty-one private guards the county hired in one of Scott Walker's emergency budget moves ALSO remain on the job.

John Ruggini, Assistant Budget Administrator for Milwaukee County said, "We are basically paying for the service twice now".

A court ruling in January reversed the outsourcing, saying Walker's emergency justification for it fell far short.  An estimate said Milwaukee County could wind up spending an extra $430,000 on security, as a result of the outsourcing reversal ordered by the court.

Read the complete article in The Milwaukee Journal.

I'm bad at math.  Frankly, I was bad at arithmetic.  But it doesn't take a calculus professor to figure out that what Scott Walker does ends up in the courts, and costs far more than Scott Walker says it will save.  Don't forget the legal expenses.  But why should he care?  He's on to Madison now, with REAL fiscal issues he can totally turn into legal cesspools.  The man does love to crap all over everything, doesn't he?  He is fecal obsessed.

Scott Walker is a Walking Disaster, for all citizens.  Even you rich  and/or conservative tea baggers ought to be able to glean that much from this little tidbit.  Stay tuned.  More insanity is surely headed our way.  Get out your checkbooks.  Good people end up paying for prissy little politicians like Scott the Blot.  As if just having to deal with him daily isn't punishment enough.

John Chianneli Gets the Boot

A little blurb in the Milwaukee Journal today reported that Mr. Chianneli has gotten the boot from his $91,000 annual salary job at Milwaukee County.

If you follow my blog, you know that Mr. Chianneli was running the Behavioral Health Division when a violent sex offender impregnated a developmentally disabled woman.  This happened because of Mr. Chianelli's and Mr. Walker's utter incompetence in running a hospital.  Can you say "budget cuts".  Mr. Chianneli should have been shown the door at that point, but someone (rhymes with fokker) put him in yet another high paying position within the county system.

At any rate, Mr. Chianeilli has left county employment.  I don't know how this happened, buy my gratitude and deep respect goes out to the person who sent Mr. Chianelli packing.  With Scott Walker gone, there may be hope for Milwaukee County, provided we don't put another horse's arse, like Jeff Stone, in the position of County Executive.

My fervent wish is that voters will get out and take their future into their hands.  Maybe Democrats don't serve up the same kind of ice cream sundaes the Republicans do when talking about managing finances.  But they don't allow vulnerable members to suffer under the incompetence of hacks like Walker and Chianelli.

Wisconsin - Open for Business - Closed for Democracy

If Scott Walker's proposed budget wasn't such a travesty, it would almost be comical, not unlike the Governor himself.

First of all, the budget goes after all of the most vulnerable citizens of this state.  First and foremost, children.  Cutting the education budget by nearly $900 million dollars means every school district in the state will be expected to do more with less.  The math of that will not work out, especially since Mr. Walker tied municipalities hands with his "no property tax increase" mandate.  Our kids are being trampled and we are standing here, unable to stop it.

Cutting health care to Wisconsin's poorest segment is just plain bullying.  Every person, in supposedly a healthy and wealthy nation, has the right to expect excellent health care.  How many people will die needlessly under Mr. Walker's health care cuts?

Cities will lose $60 million dollars in state aid.  I guess Mr. Walker figures by repealing the recycling mandate, cities can save some money.  Of course, this comes as a major blow to our environment.

Mr. Walker intends to make all convicted felons serve their sentences, fully, while cutting the Department of Corrections budget.  Boy, that old bread and water idea of feeding prisoners is actually going to come to pass.  Maybe I should open a bakery.

On the bright side, major tax cuts to corporations will be handed out by Mr. Walker as bribery payoffs for large contributions to his campaign.  Let's not forget that millionaires and billionaires will be given a free ride with no capital gains taxes imposed on them.

Oh, and the Wisconsin Road Builders Associations must be dancing  the concrete jig with all the road projects money Mr. Walker has just handed them.  They, too, were major contributors.

And let's not forget, Mr. Walker is still going after public workers and the unions who represent them as if, somehow, they were the enemy.

Mr. Walker stands in a cesspool of republican rhetoric and insane and unreasonable financial solutions.  He stinks.  He has been in office less than three months, and he is quickly becoming the most watched, and most disrespected, governor in the history of the state.  The man is not a leader.  He is unable to grasp the intricacies of statesmanship.  Mr. Walker is  a pawn.  Wisconsin has been sold out by a cheap hack masquerading as a politician.

I look forward to watching him flush himself down the toilet of his rhetoric.  Meanwhile, I can't stand the stinking cloud that this moron has farted over the entire state.  That I have to breathe the air he has fouled makes me angrier than I have ever been.  Where is there justice?  Certainly, not in Wisconsin.

Who Really Runs Scott Walker

Number one important piece of information; Scott Walker does not stand with tax paying citizens of Wisconsin.

Scott Walker stands with millionaires and billionaires, and we know that they are quickly becoming the scourge of society.  Witness Bernie Madoff and his pathetic story.  Perhaps most interesting about the Bernie Madoff story is that very few people have any sympathy for all of the billions lost by unsuspecting investors.  Here's a clue.  The working class doesn't give a Rat's ass for rich people losing money.  In fact, we kind of like it.  In fact, if we can organize it and make it happen, we like it even better.

I watched the local news this morning and there were no fewer than five paid advertisements in support of Scott Walker and his ridiculous budget repair bill.  One went so far to say that President Obama was sending outside agitators into Wisconsin.  Sheesh.  The rich are a little desperate these days.  Again, greed seems to have clouded all good judgment that these people might have possessed once.  I'd be more worried about the state of my mind than I would be about how many dollars I have in the bank, any day of the week.  Not this group.  They are defined by money, and they will, ultimately, be destroyed by money.

At any rate, Scott Walker is just a mouthpiece of the rich and greedy.  And he's so unintelligent, he believes he is one of them.  Talk about a cheap hack sellout.  We need to recall Scott Walker at the first opportunity we can.

Meanwhile, we should send Scott Walker a copy of Debbie Ford's book "Why Good People Do Bad Things".  It is not a self-help book, but an exploration of how seductive the dark side that lives inside all of us can actually be, and how we respond to it and rationalize our lives around it.  I'd actually like to send this book to my family members; but I doubt, seriously, if any one of them has ever picked up a reference book.  I've learned not to waste any money on the purposefully determined ignorant.

Citizens of Wisconsin, I implore you not to be seduced by the lies of Scott Walker, and the millionaires and billionaires who stand behind him.  These people have nothing to do with your life.  You will realize NO tax savings, no benefit from Scott Walker being in office, unless you are one of the top 2% financial earners in the state.

That you have been fooled by this fool is a tragedy.  Shame on you for not knowing better.
